Sasando.

  sasando is indonesian musical instruments. It is a harp-like traditional music string instrument. The main element of sasando is bent long tube which some time is made from bamboo. And in sentral of element of sasando swist from the top to the bottom is put some wedges where string that is stretched on the tube, from the top to the bottom. The wedges function is to hold the string higher than the tube surface and to produce various legth of string to create different musical natations. And then the tube of sasando is put in a container that is made plait of lontar's leaf(kind of palm) functioned as the resonator of the instrument.
the name”sasando” is taken  from Rote dialect ”sasandu” it means  "vibrating" or "sounded instrument". It is believed that sasando has known to Rote people since 7th century. there are alot of story about sasando and it is the most famous story.
once upon a time, there was once a guy by the name of sangguana in ndana/rote island. sangguana was artistically, so peoples made appear to the kingdom,then the princess liked him and asked sangguana to creat a musical instrument,and he agreed. after that He felt tired and slept under a palmyra tree. Sangguana dreamt that he played beautiful music with a unique instrument. The sound and the melody was so enchanting. Then he woke up, surprisingly Sangguana still remembered the tones that he played in the dream. He wanted to hear it once again, so he tried to sleep again. He dreamt the same song and same instrument. Sangguana was enjoying his dream, however he had to woke up. He didn't want to lose that's beautiful sounds, Sangguana tried to recreate the sounds and in no time created a music instrument from palmyra leafs with the strings in the middle, based on his memory from the dream
